Richard Shelton – widely recognised as the world’s leading dramatic interpreter of Frank Sinatra following his award-winning performances across the world in the powerhouse plays, ‘Rat Pack Confidential’ and ’Sinatra: RAW’ – has been variously described as ’The epitome of cool’ (LA Examiner), ‘quite simply phenomenal’ (BBC Music) and ‘outstanding – remarkable…’ (Broadway World). In his own right, he won the prestigious 2020 LIT Talent Award as ‘Best Male Singer, Jazz’ for his album ‘An Englishman in Love in LA’, where he currently lives.

Hear about being asked to perform by Royal Command for King Charles at Windsor Castle, Sir Elton John, recording his debut US album, ‘An Englishman in Love in LA’ in Capitol Studios, LA alongside Sinatra’s band mates while using Sinatra’s microphone and performing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and BBC Concert Orchestras and about the day Sinatra’s very own tuxedo incredibly walked into his life.

Richard has performed in jazz clubs across the globe from Ronnie Scott’s in London to Catalina Jazz in LA, in addition to being a regular face on UK TV as Dr Adam Forsythe in ‘Emmerdale’ to Arnaud in ‘Jane the Virgin’ on US screens. During the pandemic, his weekly jazz concerts from his balcony in Laurel Canyon attracted global audiences of thousands.
In addition to Richard’s original songs, the repertoire will include ‘For Your Lover Give Some Time’, (Richard Hawley, Pulp) and the Sinatra classics, ’That’s Life’, ‘A Very Good Year’, ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin’, ‘Moonlight in Vermont’ and, of course, ‘My Way’.
